We are about passion, community, and family. The proof is in the name, the proof is in the wine, the proof is in our friends. Ron Johnson is the owner of Marshal's Winery. Marshal is his young son, the winery is named after his son and the wines are sometimes named after family members (not the Syrah or Pinot -- but you get the idea). Ron first started making wine in 1956 at a winery in Oregon City. In one capacity or another he has been making wine ever since and it shows -- the wines of Marshal's winery are the work of a master. Marshal's has been in business for 9 years and has been marketing its wines for 7 years (as of 2005).

Our 29 acres of vineyards are 22 years old and we grow our own grapes -- except for the Pinot and White Riesling grapes which are grown in White Salmon. The latitude here is the same as France and our vineyards receive substantially more sunshine than other locations because of the aspect of the vineyards.

Our wines are noteworthy for a number of reasons (taste jumps to mind) but they all tend to be have low acidity, low tannins, and low sulfites.

Our community extends beyond our family. One of the best advertisements we have is our customers, they share the wine they buy from us with their friends and their friends become our customers too. We value the high rate of return we have from our customers, it means that our community extends far and wide.
